plus help with good makeup brushes that are inexpensive.
thank youIm trying to start a makeup collection and dont know where to start?
I'm not sure what stores are in the UK, but if you have Target or Longs/CVS they are good for basic, everyday make-up. It is not too expensive either. If you don't have those store there, they do both have online shopping.Im trying to start a makeup collection and dont know where to start?
It depends on your funds.
My make up is a mixture of everyday brands (rimmel and maybeline) and other more expensive makes (dior, clinique and mac).
When it comes to brushes I go for MAC, they make such a difference. Its best to build up slowly and get stuff that you really want and will use rather than have a big collection. I find that things like clinique bonus time and other freebies can help to build up your range so look out for the offers.
Regarding storage - I keep all of mine in a see through Cath Kidston waterproof zip bag... It looks pretty, fits all my brushes and also means I can find where everything is because I can see through it.
If you've no idea where to start, I'd recommend not going for a specific brand, but going by the type of make up.
Firstly, start collecting your favourite colours of your favourite type of make up.
Once you've done this, you'll feel fufilled, and can start next on your second best.
I'm not sure if this works for you, but it worked for me. :)

And I think every woman in the world should own this mascara

It's got a duel sided brush. And the brush is rubber. It defines eyelashes so flawlessly. And it's pretty much eliminated the clumpy lash problem.
babyfan,
try Coonobabe, not too expensive but quality is excellent. they are a U.S. based company, plus they ship 4 free anywhere in the world. i have friends in spain, and London that buy from them as well. if you have any questions email them they have makeup experts online 24/7 to discuss anything makeup. Try ELF - their brushes are very good for the price. For storage solutions, check out their range of makeup bags and organizers.

For makeup, I think Revlon is fairly good quality among the lower-end brands (available at Boots).
Some great makeup that is of the best quality is Artistry makeup. You can find it on http://www.lthompson25.qbeautyzone.com and if you dont like it you can send it back within 180 days but you'll love it! :)
Here's a great video showing what you should have in a makeup collection:
